Ceporex (Cefalexin)

Last Monday Afternoon, I went to my gyne-onco doctor for the reason that i have a mass in my external reproductive system. i don't want to specify for privacy's sake. hehe.. Well, my doctor gave me an antibiotic named: ceprofex (cepfalexin). the prescription was #15 tablets, 500 mg, 3 times a day. What a large dose right? but somehow, i noticed a slight decreased in the mass, and hopefully it would continue to descend. To add up, i researched on the drug study of ceporex (cefalexin) and below are a few detail about the drug. Ceporex tablets, capsules and syrup contain the active ingredient cefalexin, which is a type of medicine called an antibiotic. (NB. Cefalexin is also available without a brand name, ie as the generic medicine.) Cefalexin is a type of antibiotic called a cephalosporin. These antibiotics are related to penicillin. Cefalexin is used to treat infections wih bacteria. Cefalexin works by interfering with the ability of bacteria to form cell walls. The cell walls of bacteria are vital for their survival. They keep unwanted substances from entering their cells and stop the contents of their cells from leaking out. Cefalexin impairs the bonds that hold the bacterial cell wall together. This allows holes to appear in the cell walls and kills the bacteria. What is it used for? * Bacterial infections of the lungs and airways (respiratory tract), middle ear (otitis media), skin or soft tissue, bones and joints, urinary tract, including chronic prostatitis, genitals, teeth or gums.
